Carter Healthcare achieves five-star rating
February 16, 2016 -

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has awarded three Carter Healthcare offices five stars in the Quality of Patient Care Star Rating. Carter locations in Central Texas (Brady), Southeast Texas (Houston) and West Texas (San Angelo), were all given the highest rating by Medicare.

The CMS five-star quality rating system rates the nation's home health agencies on a one to five star scale based on nine of the 29 process and outcome measures during a 12-month period. This star rating provides a single indicator of an agency's performance compared to other agencies.

"To earn a five-star rating at these offices is a huge accomplishment," said Brian Carter, director of operations at Carter Healthcare. "Our team members strive to provide the very best care and this rating proves how they have been successful at providing this highest quality care."

Carter Healthcare, with its five-star rating, is able to distinguish itself from other providers in Texas. The average star rating in Texas and the U.S. is three stars. Additional information about the ratings can be found at www.medicare.gov/homehealthcompare.
